New ADC 1x64 Splitter Delivers Plug-And-Play Technology For FTTX Applications
Minneapolis, MN - ADC recently announced the expansion of its OmniReach fiber-to-the-x (FTTX) product line with the addition of the OmniReach 1x64 splitter, which allows carriers to double the number of customers served from a single splitter and reduce the feeder fibers needed for the network. The new splitter fits ideally into a centralized splitting passive optical network (PON) architecture and is more cost effective for the growing number of service providers who are deploying GPON.
Designed for all indoor and outdoor applications in FTTX networks, the 1x64 splitter offers true plug-and-play functionality with a design that reduces installation and customer turn-up time, resulting in lower operational expenses. Additionally, the new module is designed to meet both Telcordia GR-1209 and GR-1221 standards, and is compatible with the entire ADC OmniReach fiber distribution product line.
