Zayo Invests In Network Infrastructure Expansion In Nashville Tennessee

tn

Louisville, CO --(Marketwire) - Zayo announced today that it will be expanding its fiber footprint in Nashville, TN. As a part of this build, Zayo will nearly double the route mileage for the greater Nashville area from 40 to 78 route miles. These newly constructed route miles will allow Zayo to serve the markets of Franklin, Brentwood and Oak Hill with dark fiber, Gigabit Ethernet and wavelength services.

The newly covered regions will complement Zayo's existing fiber in the Nashville central business district and Antioch, TN. The network already includes 14 on-net buildings, in addition to the 40 existing route miles. Zayo continues to operate a carrier neutral colocation facility that provides access to multiple major bandwidth providers located at Cummins Station-209 10th Ave South. Zayo's Nashville network adds to the reach of the bandwidth infrastructure services throughout Zayo's fiber networks. Construction of this high bandwidth fiber infrastructure is underway and completion is expected in December 2011.

"Investing in the Nashville network serves our customers' high-speed bandwidth needs and allows Zayo to expand our coverage areas," explains Matt Erickson, President of Zayo Fiber Solutions. "This expanded dark fiber network helps healthcare, technology, and other enterprises stay in front of the explosive growth of Internet and data usage."
