Genexis Wins 5 New Fiber-To-The-Home Projects In Europe
Fiber-to-the-home equipment provider Genexis today announces to have signed multiple contracts for the delivery of fiber-to-the-home gateways to different European projects. With 5 new projects in Germany, Austria and the Netherlands, Genexis confirms its leading position in the growing European FTTH market.
"Many in the fiber-to-the-home industry know us as the leading supplier of gateways to Dutch FTTH projects of Reggefiber, KPN and Amsterdam", says Gerlas van den Hoven, CEO of Genexis. "This announcement confirms that our solutions are also well-received in the whole European market in which more and more network operators invest in FTTH."
The Genexis fiber-to-the-home solution will be rolled out in Germany by Stadtwerke Neumünster. Their consultant netzkontor nord gmbh selected the Genexis 100 Mbps point-to-point Ethernet gateway, enabling triple play services, including RF video overlay over a single fiber. In addition, the Genexis management and provisioning system GAPS has been selected, enabling efficient provisioning and day-to-day operation. More cities in the north of Germany could soon follow SWN Stadtwerke Neumünster by rolling out fiber-to-the-home based on the same solution.
Hohentengen, a town in the south of Germany, also selected the Genexis optical gateways. "We are convinced of the CPEs flexibility and modularity," says Mr. Andreas Nauroth, Broadband-Communication-Project-Leader of the Municipal of Hohentengen and responsible for this fiber project. "In addition, we are very pleased with the technical support provided by Genexis; this will assist us in building a modern FTTH network and bringing broadband to the citizens of Hohentengen".
Wilhelm.Tel, the leading provider and operator in Norderstedt, has also implemented the Genexis managed gateway in their FTTH network in Germany. In Austria, Xlink made the same decision.
"All these new customers are a direct result of our European market focus, which includes our German office", says Ron van Os, Sales Director of Genexis. "In addition, we continue our growth in the Dutch FTTH market and are proud to announce that Solcon, a successful internet provider based in Dronten, is also using our optical gateways for their FTTH services in Dronten and 13 other Dutch cities."
These 5 new projects strengthen Genexis' position as the leading supplier of fiber-to-the-home equipment in Europe. Customers all over Europe are selecting Ethernet point-to-point gateways since it provides symmetrical broadband in the most flexible and cost-efficient way.
